Token.
$OPENFAME is the community token of OpenFame. Half of its supply is set aside for the people who use the market, in proportion to the fame points the canister awards them. Nothing is sold, nothing is presold, and nothing on this page is a statement about its future value.
Who received an allocation.
Nobody yet, and no founder, fund or future team ever will: there is no insider allocation to look for. What the founder gets is the company that runs the market and keeps its fees; the token is not part of it.
Why the supply cannot grow.
One billion $OPENFAME, minted once. The mint authority is destroyed at creation, so no further token can ever exist, and the freeze authority is destroyed with it, so no wallet can ever be blocked. Those are the only two powers a token of this kind has, both are gone, and a block explorer shows it.
Where every token goes.
| 50% | Activity reward Earned on the Board, distributed at dates announced in advance. |
| 15% | Market liquidity Seeds the pool and, if a sale ever happens, a fair one with no privileged buyer. |
| 25% | Protocol treasury Operations, contributors paid by public decision, and integrations. |
| 10% | Last-resort reserve Locked, and released only under a published rule and with notice. |
Every token is held in locked accounts today, so the circulating supply is zero and no price can exist yet.
What it is for.
Designed, not dated. None of this is live, none of it is a promise about the token's value, and each item arrives only after its rules are published, as everything else here does.
| An allocation earned on the Board The only way to obtain $OPENFAME is to earn fame points, which the canister awards on the public journal under weights that are public parameters. The allocation is computed from that journal and published as a snapshot, so anyone can recompute it. This is the whole of what the token is today. |
| A pool for campaigns A campaign is a time-boxed multiplier on fame points, drawn from the activity-reward share. None runs, and none is designed in public: the pool has to exist and its rules be published before a campaign can. It is on the roadmap, and it is named here because this is the share it would draw from. |
| A currency for what the market sells Places, the Throne and the Wall could one day be payable in $OPENFAME at a published rate. Which of them, and at what discount, is undecided and written down as undecided. Nothing is payable in $OPENFAME today. |
| A list of what it is not It is not how sellers get paid: payouts are dollars through Stripe, and where Stripe does not reach yet, the money waits rather than being changed into something else. It is not the rail announced for agents either, which settles in a dollar stablecoin, and the platform never converts between the two. A token that quietly became the payout currency would move an exchange-rate risk onto the person who was just outsold. |
How it is earned.
One point per dollar that moves on your side of an action, and two per dollar when somebody outsells you. No action is a better deal than another, so there is nothing to farm: the only way to earn more is to move more money through the market.
| Buying a spot | 1 per $ |
| Being outsold | 2 per $ |
| Taking the Throne | 1 per $ |
| Posting on the Wall | 1 per $ |
| Converting a referral | 0.2 per $ |
| Holding a spot | 1 per $ of daily fee |
Your fame points are the only key.
How it will be distributed.
Your allocation is computed from the public journal, hashed into a Merkle tree, and only the root of that tree is published on chain. You claim with your own line and a dozen hashes. Anyone can rebuild the tree from the journal and check the root, so nobody has to take the house's word that no line was added for a friend.
Each distribution releases the slice of its own season, never the whole allocation. Releasing everything at the first snapshot would hand half the supply to the first hundred users and leave everyone who arrives later with no reason to.
The claim control is on your account, because a claim needs the account whose fame points the allocation is computed from. Having nothing to claim yet is not a reason to hide where claiming will happen.
What you can verify right now.
- A fixed supply and two destroyed authorities
- Every lock, its amount and its date
- The journal your points come from
- A circulating supply of zero
